Humerous [REBOOT] True Ending Guide!


Hey there! You're currently looking at the TRUE ENDING Guide! This post will basically give you a simple rundown on how this part works exactly, and if you are looking for the FULL BASE WALKTHROUGH, check it out here!

AS ALWAYS! This guide will contain SPOILERS!

The Roads

  • At the beginning of the game, look for a separate path around ROAD 1  along with an oddly placed lamp post in the middle of the woods! 
  • Check the right side of the lamp post! A WORN PAPER  can be found there! Curious how it got there, isn't it?
  • The note can be looked closer checking in your STUFF, there you'll soon learn that there are THREE things you'll have to look for! 
  • The drawing mentions the location of the star, along with the road number! 
  • As you enter into ROAD 2, something should be under the huge orange tree you first see!
  • There, you will discover a strange sentimental talking glob who is more likely than willing to journey with you after a small exchange. The glob introduces herself as "OBLONG". Then, proceed onto the roads as normal until the location of the second glob. 
  • At ROAD 4, you are met with another huge orange tree around the farther end of the road. There's a possible path, but it appears to be blocked by the tree's thick roots.
  • After interacting with the roots, inspect the the green bush and CUT THAT MF-
  • And a new path should be available for you to be given access to the second glob, "GROLB!" Then, proceed as normal until the location of the third and LAST glob.
  • At ROAD 5, you are met with a short path towards under a purple tree. There you are met with "PLURB", who then gets a lovely reunion with the other globs before joining alongside you.  From there, proceed to the bench to be sent over to the FLIPSIDE. (Note: If you choose to ignore and leave OBLONG, the two globs will refuse to go with you.)

The Flipside (The Orange Grave)

  • After completing the podium puzzle and before entering Er's room, interact with the fourth podium at the upper right past the glyph bridge. 
  • The podium mentions to "ease one's soul, one must listen". This is a hint of the the correct option to when you confront the moving thing in your pockets.
  • Check your pockets, you'll see OBLONG'S awake. Interact with her!
  • Use the hint you've learned from the podium to choose the correct option.
  • Once you're finished with OBLONG, choose to NAP. Doing this will grant you a MEMORY WISP, and the OBLONG looks...different.  Oh well!
  • Place the MEMORY WISP onto the podium. You're not allowed to proceed if you don't do otherwise.
  • As the MEMORY WISP disappears, proceed into Er's room.

The Flipside (Er's Room)

  • Converse with Er until you are given the three options once again. In this run, be sure to ASK THE TRUTH from her. 
  • If you've conversed with Oblong prior and have given the fourth podium the MEMORY WISP, something flashes from Er's vision.
  • The two of you take a breather before fully channeling the essence of the wisp. From there, you have now been transported into an odd...place.

The Flipside (Er's Memory Lanes)

  • Grepa opens consciousness into the new space. As she walks further in, she notices three podiums ahead of her, and a figure blocking the path. 
  • Converse with the figure, and the figure shares you 1/3 of a story along with some words missing in between lines. 
  • After conversing, check in with the podiums. You'll realize you'll need to choose the right word with each podium to fill in the blanks to help finish the figure's part of the story.  If you choose the right word, the podium will light up with a fire orb.
  • Once you're finished with the three podiums, talk to the figure once more who should look different after completing the three podiums. You'll notice the figure telling the story once more with the missing words applied. 
  • Proceed onto the next area, and you'll find yourself slowly unwrapping Er's side of the story through doing the same process two more times including the area you've proceeded. 
  • Follow along the bloody path,  Er's final moments flash within your vision as you walk through. 
  • At the end of the path, you enter a small enclosed area met with some grass, bushes and trees. 
  • Interact with the bush with a bloody spot. A cutscene will play. 
  • Once you're finished conversing with Er, confront Hum.

The Flipside (The Purple Grave)

  • After completing the podium puzzle and before entering Ous' room, interact with the fourth podium at the upper right past the glyph bridge. 
  • The podium mentions to "ease one's soul, one must assure". This is a hint of the the correct option to when you confront the moving thing in your pockets.
  • Check your pockets, you'll see PLURB's awake. Interact with him!
  • Use the hint you've learned from the podium to choose the correct option.
  • Once you're finished with PLURB, choose to NAP. Doing this will grant you a MEMORY WISP, and like OBLONG, PLURB looks different. 
  • Place the MEMORY WISP onto the podium. You're not allowed to proceed if you don't do otherwise.
  • As the MEMORY WISP disappears, proceed into Ous' room.

  • Converse with Ous until you are given the three options once again. In this run, be sure to ASK THE TRUTH from him. 
  • If you've conversed with Oblong prior and have given the fourth podium the MEMORY WISP, something flashes from Ous' vision.

  • You also notice a hand sticking out of the bush. Interact with it, and a cutscene will play. 
  • Once you're finished conversing with Ous, confront Hum.

The Flipside (The Green Grave)

  • Like Er's and Ous', you are met with THREE separate scenarios of the deceased after passing through the fire orb entrance. You progress through completing the fire orb's question with the right answer, giving you access to the next scenario. 
  • As you're finished answering the right one each, you are also given with wooden carved heads along the way.
  • After passing through all three scenarios, you are met with an area with three podiums along with a missing passage.
  • As you inspect the podiums closer, there are words associated with each one. From left to right, are podiums named "ISOLATION, CHANCE, AND FREEDOM."
  • You are then required to look over the description of the carved heads that's been given to you after each individual scenario. Each head mentions the age of the deceased. 
  • From here, your task is to place and match the heads in order of the scenarios you've encountered the right ones. 
    • This is the correct order you SHOULD have from left to right:
      • Isolation- 6
      • Chance- 14
      • Freedom - 19
  • Once finished, a bridge forms for you to pass. What lies ahead of you is the entrance of the deceased's room, and you are given a prompt to save before entering.

The Flipside (Hum's Room)

  • Converse with Hum.
  • Throughout the conversation Hum mentions about being unsure on where to start. Grepa offers a solution, but it requires her to leave Hum's room for a quick moment.
  • Exit Hum's Room, and interact with the broken podium on the right. The podium's message appears unreadable, only being able to make out a few letters considering the state of it. Regardless, the podium's message is a hint for the player to choose the correct option.
  • Check your pockets, you'll see GROLB'S awake. Interact with them!
  • Once you're finished with GROLB, choose to NAP. Doing this will grant you a MEMORY WISP, and like OBLONG and PLURB looks different. 
  • So you know how the green podium's broken? Yeah uh, you can't place that there! Better hurry to Hum with it!

  • You also notice two of your friends! Say hi to them, and a cutscene will play.

The Flipside (Hum's Room)

  • Converse with Hum and ask ALL of the questions. You're also able to ask Hum the same question once again for a summary of their answer along with possible, additional details. 
  • Once the conversation's finished, leave Hum's grave and meet them at the outer segment of the Flipside. You'll also notice their other two friends are there beside them.
  • You may check in with Er or Ous before confronting with Hum.
